If an applicant declines to complete the Konfir journey, the next step for the party communicating with the applicant (Konfir or you) will depend on why the applicant is refusing.
In most cases, concerns can be easily addressed, but fallback options should be made available when needed.
Step 1: Understand the reason
Ask the applicant why they’re not proceeding. Common reasons include:

Step 2: Offer alternatives if needed
If the applicant still declines to use Konfir:
They’ll be redirected back to you at the end of the journey
You can initiate a fallback verification method (e.g. payslips, P45, employment letter)
Note: Konfir cannot assist with manual document-based checks.
