Most applicants complete the journey in 2–5 minutes, and 98% do so without contacting Konfir for support. However, if issues arise, we're committed to managing them.


Below are the most frequent issues applicants may face, along with how Konfir helps:

Support Actions

General confusion

  • Not understanding where the request has come from

  • Not understanding what Konfir does

  • Not understanding why data access is needed

  • Clarify the source of the request

  • Provide your applicant support email for direct assurance

  • Provide our Applicant Help Center for applicants to research us

HMRC Access

  • Forgotten credentials

  • ID Verification fails (e.g. can't match passport or driving licence)

Banking Access

  • Closed accounts

  • Foreign accounts

  • No online banking

Eligibility

  • Foreign, unpaid, or cash-in-hand jobs not verifiable via UK data sources

  • Notify you via your applicant support email that the request is ineligible

Note: Konfir continuously monitors applicant flows using analytics to identify friction points and improve the experience & support offered

In all cases, if we can not resolve the applicant’s issue (i.e. they can not complete their Konfir verification) then we will redirect them back to you.
