Cancelling a verification

To cancel a verification, contact Konfir Support at [email protected] and include:

  • The Verification ID (or applicant details if you don’t have the ID)

Common reasons to cancel

  • Verification no longer needed (applicant withdrawn, role closed, screening stopped)

  • Applicant opted out of completing the verification

  • Duplicate request created for the same applicant

  • Requested in error (wrong applicant, wrong workflow, wrong timing)

  • Incorrect details were used and you plan to re-issue a corrected request

What happens after cancellation

Once cancelled:

  • The verification will no longer be active for the applicant

  • You can create a new verification if you still need one (for example, with corrected details)

Editing a verification

Verifications can’t be edited after they’ve been sent. If something needs changing (applicant contact details, employer, dates, etc.), cancel the verification and create a new request with the correct information.
