Cancelling a verification

You might need to cancel a verification if:

  • applicant contact details are incorrect

  • activity details are incorrect (e.g. employer name or dates)

  • the applicant has withdrawn

  • the request was created in error

How to cancel

Cancellation is currently handled by Konfir's support team - email [email protected] with the Verification ID.

What happens after cancellation

Once cancelled:

  • the verification status updates to Cancelled in Konsole

  • the applicant can no longer access the verification link

  • no further reminders or messages are sent to the applicant

Editing a verification

Once a verification is submitted, it can’t be edited. This protects applicant consent and ensures the verification record remains consistent from creation through to results. If any details need to change, the correct approach is to:

  1. Cancel the verification

  2. Create a new verification with the correct information
