Overview
A verification is a digital record of an individual’s employment and/or income, backed by evidence from trusted data sources (e.g. HMRC, Open Banking).
Verifications are used by organisations to make decisions that require accurate employment or income data (e.g. hiring, renting, and lending), replacing traditional checks like referencing or document reviews with a consent-led digital process that provides multiple benefits, including speed, accuracy, and reliability

Verification Result
A verification is structured so it can be reviewed both:
Manually (via Konsole or PDF)
Programmatically (via API)
Each verification is organised into a small number of consistent layers, designed to make results easy to scan and interpret.

Verification
The overall record for one applicant. It includes a unique verification ID, the verification status, and the applicant’s details.
Timeline
The core output of the verification. This is a chronological list of activities, ordered from most recent to oldest, giving a clear picture of the applicant’s employment and/or income history over time.
Activities
An activity is a period of employment/income, or a gap). Within each activity, you can see the underlying fields (such as employer name, dates, income metrics), the data sources that contributed evidence, and any alerts or insights that highlight notable discrepancies or patterns.
Using Verifications
Verifications act as an input into your own workflow or decision-making process. See Making Decisions to learn more about how verifications can be used.
